The Gran Paradiso National Park extends over 70,000 hectares of high mountain territory.

The history of the Gran Paradiso National Park is linked to the protection of the ibex, the symbol of this enchanted place.

In 1856, in fact, King Vittorio Emanuele II declared these mountains a royal hunting reserve and thus saved the ibex from extinction.

A place rich in flora and fauna, in short a true earthly paradise, the oldest in Italy and very well preserved. A park of woods, mountain pastures, prairies, and very high peaks, arid crests and very white glaciers, lakes and peat bogs where it is impossible not to leave a piece of your heart.

The route we are going to face does not have any technical sections and takes place almost entirely on wide dirt and asphalt roads, furthermore we will visit the beautiful waterfalls of Lillaz formed by some rocky jumps through which the abundant waters of the Urtier torrent flow, which have dug deep ravines between the sheer rocks, a place not to be missed, and then not to forget a real village from another time, Cretaz.
